Please put your phones away now so that I do not take them from you!

Today you have 2 tasks to complete:

Task 1.  Find your SSR book that you were reading from last semester and write it down on your DRL for Friday with title, author and PAGE NUMBER (you can find this on your old DRL that I saved for you from last semester)

If you are brand new to the class-find an SSR book that interests you and write down the title and author for Friday on your DRL.

Task 2. Log in to Reading Plus-as you can see you do not have any assignments yet for this week.  Complete one See Reader for extra credit today.

If you are brand new to the class, you will be taking as assessment on Reading Plus to determine your reading level and what types of assignments you will be working on this semester.  Follow the directions below that will help you log on.

Next week your graded assignments on the Reading Plus Program will be:
3 See Readers= 15 points each so 3 x 15 =     45 points
3 Read Arounds= 10 points each so 3 x 10 = 30 points
1 i Balance=10 points each so 1 x 10 =          10 points

Total points for this week =                            85 points

HW=Your only homework for this week will be to find something that you want to read from home-a novel, newspaper, magazine, article from the internet, your textbooks, a comic book, anything that looks interesting to you!
