Several of you wanted to discuss "Gun Violence at School" after the tragic events that occurred in Florida on Valentines Day. Here are some points for our discussion:
 
It’s the 8th week of the new year and there have been 8 shootings in the United States. Half of those occurred at middle or high schools. Parents, students and educators are joined by the rest of the country asking “why?”

Our thoughts are with the students and teachers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.  Unfortunately, we also know that this tragedy could happen anywhere.
