This is your last week of Reading Plus work for the 2016-2017 School Year!!!

Please finish as many See Readers as possible if you would like to get extra credit before the end of the semester.

This is also the last HRL of the year. Please turn over HRL # 16 and write the new dates on the back:

Several students have asked about the final for this class.  Here is a description of what I will be asking you to do on the day of your final:

Final Directions

The final has 2 parts:

Part 1=STAR test on the computer  If you improve your reading score by 1 point you will get 50/50. If you maintain your reading score at the exact same level then you will get 25/50 if you score below your original reading score then you will receive a 0/50.

Part 2=Non Fiction Passage (one page) and answer 15 questions on binder paper about the non fiction piece that you read.

When you are finished with BOTH parts of the final you may do something quietly at your desk or work on extra SEE READERS to improve your grade.

5/22/17 Monday - 5/25/17 Thursday Agenda

Collect HRL # 14 and 15 (White One)

Pass out new HRLs for this week:

This Week your Reading Plus Assignment is:
 2 See Readers @ 15 points each =         30 points
 2  Read Arounds @ 10 points each =      20 points
 1 i balance @10 points each =               10 points

 Total   =                                              60  POINTS 

Monday=Reading Plus-Regular Schedule 
Tuesday=Reading Plus-for 3rd period only
Wednesday= Reading Plus for 4th period only
Thursday=Reading Plus for 3rd and 4th period
Friday= NO SCHOOL TODAY OR MONDAY-Happy Memorial (4 Day) Weekend!

HW= Complete any missing Reading Plus assignments for this week and do your HRL tonight so that you can receive an extra credit stamp tomorrow.

Mon=Minimum day schedule

Tues=Regular day schedule (3rd and 4th period will be going to Marimba/Ballet Folklorico Show)

Wed=Test 8:30-11:15-Break 11:15-11:35-2nd period, Lunch, 3rd period-1st period

Thurs=Test 7:45-10:00-Break 10:00-10:20-4th period-5th period-Lunch-6th period-7th period

Friday=Test 7:45-9:45-1st period-2nd period-Break-3rd period-4th period-Lunch-5th period-6th period-7th period

Good Morning! This week you only have 2 See Readers to complete!  Our 3rd and 4th period classes will be going to see the RHS Marimba Band and Ballet Folklorico perform this Tuesday 5/16/17!

Today I have scheduled the Insight Assessment that you took at the beginning of the year.  

The score that you receive today will determine how much your reading has improved this year.  

Please try your best if you do not want to be scheduled in another Reading Improvement class for next year!

If you finish a See Reader during class today, I will give you a ticket that will be placed in a drawing for a Starbucks gift card!!!! Let's do this!
