1. Do your Home Read Logs-read aloud to someone at home for 20 minutes or more and write down the title, author, genre and a short 3 sentence summary about what you read.  Bring back your paper with your listener's initials and you will receive an extra credit sticker tomorrow in class!
2. Home Read Logs are due on Monday 9/4/17 (with parent signatures on both sides and all listener initials filled out completely-extra credit for any sticker or stamp that you received for having your HRL in class everyday)
3. Daily Read Logs with both sides filled out are also due on Monday 9/4/17!

Write down the title, author, and a short summary about 5 books that you are interested in reading for SSR this semester.  I am collecting this list in class today.

3. This novel details the rise and fall of high school football star, Mick Johnson.  It will probably be about how Mick will experiment with steroids to try and become better at football.  It also might show what can happen to teens (the gross consequences) when they do steroids.
